Loft Life

Thanks to the great hospitality of blogger Morse, Mrs. Morse and the most delightful Morsel, a blogger meet up lit up the skies over Brooklyn on Friday night.

Or something like that.

Yes, it was a gathering of the blogerati, although how landed with this high end crew, shows you how luck is truly more important than talent.

Morse,Pissed in NYC, Spartacus, Dcap and Watertiger and I had a great evening.

First of all, I felt like I was in a Tama Janowitz short story from the 80's... and I mean that in a good way. Spartacus, Dcap, Pissed and I poured ourselves into a taxi and headed over the Williamsburg Bridge into that land called Brooklyn.

We found our way to Chez Morse, which really is the Republic of Sestakastan! We entered a real loft building- no not the newly built million dollar version - this was the real deal. We wound our way to the elevator, which was quite funky as you can see.

Then it was an evening of great fun. Good food, exceptionally good conversation, much laughter, fine wine and more.

Those Morse types do know how to entertain!

The Morsel is in constant motion and has an outstanding personality. Which is no surprise given the lovely parents he has!

This is my favorite photo of the evening. Despite the fact that it is clear that someone needs a root job, I love that I got to pose with none other than Tengrain.

In a manner of speaking.

Great photos. Ah, and the evening flew as fun was had by all. And I second your thanks to the Morses.

Sounds like such a great get-together! All that talent in one place...

It's really cool that this e-world connection can generate meat-world friendships.

I'm happy for you all.

I'm as jealous as all hell that I could only be there virtually, but I am grateful as hell that I could be there at all.

By the way, that is the icon Dr. Zaius created for me. He's swell, isn't he?

Regards,

Tengrain

A get-together might be fun, but it would fly in the face of my inherent antisocial nature :)

Looks like all had a good time.

I'm sorry I wasn't there!

Looks like you all had a fantastic time.

What, I spent to entire night at the computer? What a thoughtless host!

It was a lot of fun, and we have to do it again.

It sounds like a good time was had by all, but all that blogging power, I hope you guys don't let the power go to your heads and control us with your machinations!

Yes- that Morsel is something else. He is remarkable. But then again, so are the Morse-parents!!

I see no evidence of need for a root job, and these pictures are also disappointingly lacking in dirty hippies! Looks like a great time!

What a fun time, and check out that D-cap smile!

You had to include the picture of me and Morsel doing the choo-choo train thing; with a beer in hand no less. LOL! (Now that was fun!!!!!)

Great pics Fran. As for the root job -- sweetie I was there. You looked "mahvelus"....
